00 / year, depending upon experience Hometown Property Management provides experienced, professional leasing and property management services to residential property owners and home renters in Thurston County and surrounding areas.
We are looking for an energetic individual to join our accounting team who meets the qualifications and is up to the challenge of a demanding mid-level accounting position with aspirations to learn and advance to a senior position.
This individual would be responsible for mastering all of the duties of the position as well as cross training in all of the duties of the accounting manager in order to become a reliable backup.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to; Accounts Payable Payment processing Tracking and preparing security deposit disposition letters Filing Assisting property owners, tenants, and fellow employees with questions and concerns Gathering information from others to complete assigned tasks Processing owner statements Accounts Receivable Applying late fees Process returned payments Notifying utility companies of changes in tenancy Assisting at the front desk or other areas as needed Track and meet legally imposed, rigid deadlines Assisting the Accounting Manager in various tasks required of the department A successful candidate will possess the following traits; Have an understanding of accounting processes, journal entries, ledgers, etc.
Self-motivated Highly organized Track and meet deadlines Perform data entry with extreme accuracy Detail oriented and intuitive for gathering and presenting all necessary information for a given task Understand ledgers and statements and be able to explain them clearly to property owners and tenants Strong problem solving skills Stay on task and be helpful in an environment with regular interruptions Maintain a friendly and helpful disposition when working with frustrated individuals Work well in a team environment A qualified candidate will have; High School Diploma Accounting Degree and/or experience in entry level to mid-level accounting Experience with Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Excel, and Word Typing, with accuracy, 60
