We are a 24 hour Emergency only hospital.

Our hospital houses digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house lab equipment, and everything needed to care for our most critical patients.
The Kennel Assistant supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service.
This position supports veterinarians and technicians in their daily tasks by cleaning and maintaining equipment, preparing and sanitizing surgery suites, restraining and handling pets, and performing basic clerical work.
We are hiring for weekend and overnight positions.
Kennel Assistant
Responsibilities:
Maintains the cleanliness of the hospital each day, cleans equipment and facilities using chemicals and supplies Follows a regular schedule for cleaning and sanitizing all cages, runs, wards and treatment areas Completes the weekly and monthly chore list to maintain hospital cleanliness, equipment, and overall appearance of the hospital Maintains laundry Maintains the grounds of the property including waste disposal Assists Veterinarians and technicians with with pet restraint Participate in all staff and technician/assistant mandatory staff meetings and trainings Support the team in welcoming new employees and assist in the training process Foster teamwork approach and work well with all levels of hospital team members Competencies/Requirements:
Multitasking, Communication, Organization This is a strenuous job that requires a lot of lifting, cleaning, and constant motion Some tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting or carrying moderately heavy animals (up to 50 pounds) May involve some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station and/or extended periods of time standing and/or walking Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work weekends and holidays Education/
Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent Veterinary environment, terminology, and protocols (Not required) Job Types:
