The intern will assist the Transportation section in performing traffic studies including traffic counts and turning movement counts.
With nearly 345 miles of roadway lanes; 3,800 streetlights and traffic signals; 525 miles of water, sewer and stormwater lines; 250 acres of maintained parks and facilities; 125,000 square feet of occupied buildings; a fleet of 240 vehicles; and numerous volunteer programs, Public Works is the largest and most diverse department within Lacey's municipal organization.

Schedule will be flexible based on the student's class schedule.
Number of hours per week to be determined.
Work will be limited to 16 hours per week during school attendance.
