What will you do?The Intake/Admissions Clinician is responsible for facilitating admissions to SSBH Inpatient and Outpatient programs and making referrals to community resources when appropriate.
The A&R Counselor works as part of an Intake team to coordinate phone, fax, and walk-in referrals, complete crisis assessments, and assess for medical necessity to determine the appropriate level of care.
Coordinates with providers, nurses, and treatment team for admissions and supporting documentation.
Education:
Master's Degree in a human relations field.
Experience:
Preferably two or more years of experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting.
A minimum of two (2) years of Master's Degree experience in a psychiatric setting, including customer contact, is required.
Licensure:
Status as a Mental Health Professional in the state of Washington required.
Licensed to practice in the State of Washington is encouraged.
Additional Requirements:
A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam.
A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field.
