00 / hour, depending upon experience Hometown Property Management provides experienced, professional leasing and property management services to residential property owners and home renters in Thurston County and surrounding areas.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management Company.
Pay is dependent upon experience.
Experience is preferred but not required.
We are willing to train the right candidate.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance and preparation of vacant units in a timely manner.
They will perform a wide range of tasks for occupied units as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager.
It is expected that Maintenance Technicians will provide and maintain the highest standard in customer service with each interaction.
The main work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
There is also a requirement for some after hours and weekend on call availability.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to; Perform basic home repairs as directed, to include replacing door knobs, rescreening window and sgd screens, replacing bathroom fixtures, replacing trim, and other related activities.
Perform maintenance as directed, to include finish carpentry work, rough carpentry work, installing doors, drywall patches, painting, and other related activities.
Perform deck repairs, fence repairs, siding repairs, and other related activities.
Review daily work orders with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the task to be performed is clearly communicated and expectations are fully understood.
Operate power tools, measuring equipment, mechanical hoists, and other tools/equipment needed to complete jobs.
Apply protective coatings such as paint, varnish, stain enamel or lacquer to interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of building.
Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster or other filler.
Apply caulking compounds by hand or with a caulking gun to bathtubs, fixtures, and as otherwise applicable.
Notify management when major repairs are needed or the scope of a job exceeds what was expected.
Responsible for compliance with all company and safety policies and procedures.
Always adhere to personal safety measures.
Work in a safe and responsible manner and comply with safety standards.
Understand use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Operate a company-owned vehicle (and cellular telephone) to transport self and others to job sites.
Ability to confidently and safely pull and back up a dump trailer.
