Cisco Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer's role is to ensure that RSI/industry best practices and methodologies are applied to design, deployment and operations of enterprise networks. This person will provide technical guidance and leadership to engineering team, and ensure project timelines are being met. The engineer will be the technical point of contact for the customer and provide design, migration, and deployment guidance.
Responsibilities
oDesign and deploy Datacenter networks utilizing industry best practices and Cisco hardware to include:
Cisco enterprise level L3 switching and Nexus platforms.
oDesign and deploy managed LANs, WANs, including routers, switches, firewalls and other hardware.
oMonitor network performance and troubleshoot problems as needed.
oCreate low-level and high-level design documents in accordance with customer and RSI standards
oPerform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer managed hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
oConduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain on top of developments in the networking industry.
Position Requirements
oRelated degree in computer science or electrical engineering and/or seven to ten years of equivalent network engineering experience.
oCCIE certification required
oDesign and deploy experience with datacenter networking, in accordance with industry best practices.
oNexus 9K/7K/6K/5K/2K experience
oExperience with logical design models (L2/L3, VPC, VDC, Datacenter Zones, Spanning tree, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling).
oStrong knowledge of IP communication and routing is required (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP). Experience with inter-company routing is preferred.
oUnderstanding of WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, VPLS).
oStrong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio is recommended
oCandidate should be able to conduct research into networking issues and products, as needed.
oCandidate should be able to present ideas in user-friendly language.
oCandidate needs to be highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
oExperience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
